The dehumidifier sets on a shelf or hangs in the closet to operate. The moisture indicator window displays “moisture meter crystals” changing from blue (when dry) to pink (when wet) indicating when the unit needs to be “renewed”. The unit absorbs approximately 8-10 ounces of moisture (depending on humidity levels this should take approx. 4-8 weeks). Absorbed moisture cannot leak or spill. Specially engineered crystallized silica gel is odorless, non-toxic, safe. When the indicator crystals turn pink it is time to “re-new” the unit. Simply flip out the integrated plug. Plug into a power outlet in a well ventilated area. The built-in heater warms the crystals allowing them to expand and release the moisture as water vapor into the outside air. 12-14 hours completely re-news the dehumidifier. (When completely renewed the indicator crystals will change to blue. Rid your RV or boat of unwanted excess moisture and mildew. (Fresh n’ Clean).  |
